Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws § 45-24-53 that

the Johnston Town Council will hold two Public Hearings at the Johnston

Municipal Court, 1395 Atwood Avenue, Suite 109, Johnston, R.I., on July 22,

2008 at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the

Public Hearings is to consider proposed Ordinance 2008-13, an ordinance

proposing to amend the zoning ordinance to add a continuing care requirement

community use permitted by special use permit in a B-2 zone and as part of a

planned district in the R-40 zoning district, the definition and parking

requirements for such use and providing for development plan review in

accordance with the Rhode Island General Laws. The second hearing will be held

to consider Ordinance 2008-11 to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Official

Zoning Map, as summarized here:

The proposed Ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of

the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or

because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Said proposed Ordinance

is available at the office of the Town Clerk for examination. Any alteration or

amendment will be presented for comment in the course of the hearing. All persons interested in the above

application are requested to attend said meeting and be heard. Individuals

requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Office

of the Town Clerk seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the hearing date.

will hold a public hearing at the Johnston Municipal Court, 1395 Atwood Avenue,

Suite 109, Johnston, RI., on May 12, 2008 at 7:00 pm. The purpose of the public

hearing is to consider proposed Ordinance 2008-6 for the abandonment of a

portion of Pine Lane

on Assessor’s plat 61 Assessors lot 28. All persons interested in the above

Ordinance may attend the hearing and be heard. Individuals requesting

interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Office of the

Town Clerk seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the hearing date.
