Tri-Town reassures client confidentiality
DeSantis’ original concern was that the information was obtained through Tri-Town offices but, after an investigation at the agency, DeSantis felt confident that the information did not come from Tri-Town.
“Breaching the policy would result in termination,” said DeSantis. “[Tri-Town] has a zero-tolerance policy for any breach [of confidentiality].”
The CEO went on to say he wants the organization’s clients to rest assured that all of their information would remain completely private. Tri-Town services run the gamut from a health care center and fuel assistance to GED programs and eldercare case management. He said the agency “goes to extremes to guard [information], even during initial interviews.”
In some cases, vehicles are not even identifiable as in service to Tri-Town. According to DeSantis, Tri-Town has recently received “millions of dollars in grants” toward community health and, as part of the grant parameters, must adhere to patient confidentiality laws like HIPA, as well as the federal and state laws relative to all programs.
“I have been here for 36 years, and there has never been a breach of confidentiality,” DeSantis said.
He did acknowledge that there is one instance where any information can be given: when the performance of specific duties requires it. For example, Tri-Town must often notify an oil company of where to deliver.
“Obviously, we have to tell the company who the client is,” said DeSantis.
In following with the confidentiality guidelines, DeSantis would not confirm or deny whether Fellela’s information was correct. Berarducci responded, however, saying that she had, in fact, received a boiler through Tri-Town. She said that without knowing her individual circumstances, it was no one’s place to question the transaction.
“If Tri-Town said I fit the criteria, who should say I don’t?” she asked.
Berarducci went on to say that while she was upset by the allegations, she was more disturbed that Fellela, her state representative, made the opinions public.
“How dare a state official disclose private information about a constituent who she is supposed to represent, whether she likes me or not,” said Berarducci.

This is EXZCTLY why certain informastion, like housing list, should remain confidential. Can you imagine a State Representative revealing such personal information about a constituent and follow it up with rumor and inuendo....Dear Lord will these animals ever go away? I live in Cherry Hill too and yu are constantly putting out negative and untrue flyers about Mrs.Beraducci. Your husband should put so much edffort int trying to get a job. I agree that it was a digrace the way you two felella's act up at that state house....your a disgrace to the community. Mrs Berducci's comments were totally accurate. When our elected officials act in a way uso unbecoming we the people have a right to object and you have no right to try to humiliate or attack any of us for that. Especially you Debbie....When Henry hands you the money are you saying you NEVER ask where it comes from. I dont feel badly for you your just as guilty and I agree you should both br reported to the RI tax division....thieves

Where are our local politicians on this matter. They were constantly in the papaer supporting her on the basis that " she was a nice person". I cant understand how she and her husband get away with so much illegal and poor behavior. Has anyon checked debbie and henry's tax records . they lived pretty well for a long time on a secretary's salary. And Just what is it that henry does to earn a living....they are constantly callling everyone else gansters, thieves ,crimi,als....WHAT dOES HE DO EVERYDAY. I happen to know he does not collect any disability or pension....enlighten us Henry or lie to us again.Deb I would be ashamed to be married to him but that just goes to your moral caracature...you dont wear no halo honey...please

Maybe in the world of Fellela Mrs Berarduccci should have just stolen a boiler if she needed one, after all isnt that what the rep does supporte herself and family on her husbands stoen money and the taxpayers dollar. What did anyone think was going to happen to a fine family who the town chose not to allow them to earn thier living here yet allows the same business to open next door to them..dont be niaeve people the Berarduccci's were mistreated by over egotistical petty politicians. They buried my father and I could'nt respect them more. they are honest, hard working kind and compassionate....things the felons/fellela's could never relate to. Hang in there mr. & Mrs B many people here support you.
