There was so much more to the 31st annual Apple Festival than apples. The event sponsored by the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce brought hundreds of people to Memorial Park where they found scores of craft vendors plus local businesses and non-profits with information on their services. It was an event for kids, too, with lots of goodies to sample and giveaways such as the plastic fire helmets and safety tips provided by the Johnston Fire Department.
