Anthony Stephen Marzella, 47, of Angela Court Johnston, passed away April 9, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Eleonora (Vacca) Marzella.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony P. and Arlene (Tritendi) Marzella. Anthony was a sheriff employed by the State of Rhode Island in Superior Court for 10 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan, collector of sports memorabilia and was a baseball coach for the Johnston Little League. Anthony befriended thousands of Facebook friends, many of whom he connected with daily and will be sadly missed.

Besides his wife he is survived by a sister, Stephanie Susi of Johnston, and a brother, David Marzella of Coventry.

His funeral will be held April 20 at 8 a.m. from Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Ave., Providence, at 9 a.m. Visiting hours are April 19 from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
