Last week, in advance of the Memorial Day holiday weekend and summer driving season, the Cranston Police Department hosted a statewide kickoff event for the “Click It or Ticket” campaign at Cranston High School East. Chief of Police Col. Michael Winquist, Mayor Allan Fung, Rhode Island State Police Col. Steven O’Donnell and law enforcement personnel from across the state took part in the event, highlighting the importance of seatbelts and announcing that police will be out “in full force” to crack down on seatbelt infractions.
