CVS dedicates 13 years, $1.4 million to non-profits

At the CVS Caremark Downtown 5K Awards Dinner, organizers and officials of the road race celebrated its 23rd anniversary and the company’s 13th year as title sponsor of the race. At the dinner, approximately $63,500 in grants was presented to nearly 50 youth-focused non-profit organizations and schools from Southern New England, including the Johnston-based Autism Project. Funds raised since CVS Caremark became title sponsor of the race in 2000 have reached nearly $1.4 million.
