Chamber makes Monday more exciting

A Lipstick Luncheon and Mob Monday are just two of the exciting events the North Central Chamber of Commerce will offer coming up on Monday, June 11.

President Deborah Ramos said the day will begin at 11:30 a.m. when the Chamber’s Women in Business Council presents another Lipstick Luncheon at Ribs & Company, located at 1381 Atwood Avenue in Johnston.

“We’ll begin the day with open networking at 11:30 on the patio,” Ramos said. “We’ll close out the day at 1:30, but not before we have lunch and play trivia.”

The Chamber has planned a session of Trivia Networking that will begin promptly at noon. Space is limited and Ramos requested that reservations be submitted by tomorrow, June 8, either online at www.ncrichamber.com or by calling Ramos at the NCCC office at 349-4674.

She also issued an invitation for people to join the fun of Cash Mob Monday on June 11.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. when NCCC members meet at the Johnston Senior Center and then travel to an undisclosed business. The cash mob is designed “to spike sales for small businesses within the Chamber’s footprint,” Ramos said.

“This will be all about people who like to shop and support businesses,” she said.

Once the caravan reaches the store, guests are invited to spend between $15 and $20 at a Chamber business.

“We’re going to do this monthly and the businesses we mob will only be Chamber members,” Ramos said.

The NCCC is hoping for at least 50 guests. Once the shopping is complete, attendees will meet at a locally owned watering hole.

Also coming up for the Chamber is the monthly Business After Hours, scheduled for Thursday, June 23.
