Domenic Campagnone

Domenic Campagnone, 86, of Lyman Avenue, passed away August 31, 2011. He was the husband of the late Sheila A. (Dunne) Rogers-Campagnone and former husband of Antonetta (Distante) Campagnone.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Theresa (Verdelotti) Campagnone. Mr. Campagnone had worked as a self-employed contractor and owned/operated D. Campagnone Builders before retiring. He had also served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was the father of Vincent R. Campagnone and Carol A. Penney; grandfather of seven; and brother of Raymond Campagnone, Mary Grady and the late Frank, Michael, Justine, Carmella, Antonetta and Vincenza.
Visitation was held Sept. 3 in Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave., Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave., Providence. Graveside burial followed in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visit www.pontarellimarinofunerals.com.
