Edith (Field) Czerwein, 68, of Edgewater, Florida fell asleep in death on March 30, 2014 surrounded by her family.

Formerly from Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Mildred "Ethel" (Buxton) Casperson and Chester Walter Field. She came from a family of eight children and was raised by her mother and stepfather the late Herbert “Sonny” Casperson. The greater part of her life, Edie was a homemaker and raised her three children and three step children, Charles Czerwein 3rd, Cynthia Watt and Joseph Czerwein. For the last years of her life, Edie lived in sunny Florida with her daughter and her family in Edgewater. She enjoyed outings to Dunes Park in New Smyrna Beach when her health permitted. Edie loved to spend time watching the wildlife and the ocean waves. Most of all, Edie enjoyed spending time with her two granddaughters, Macayla and Kaylee, and with the family pets Porsche and Charlie.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Field of Worcester, Massachusetts and Michael Czerwein of Providence, one daughter Denise (Field) Andrade of Edgewater; and her two granddaughters, Macayla Heinzelman of Debary, Fl and Kaylee Andrade of Edgewater, Fla. She is survived by three brothers: Chester Field of Foster, RI, William Casperson of Cranston and Herbert Casperson of Providence and three sisters: Violet Field of Providence, Louise Evans of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Patricia Laurino of Summerville, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Fantasia.

A Memorial Service for Edith will be held at LA Rosa Italian Restaurant and Banquets, 555 Atwood Avenue, Cranston, RI on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1p.m. A private gathering for family only by invitation will follow the service. Condolences remembrances may be expressed on www.LEGACY.Com
