As pools are closing and classes have started, Confreda Greenhouses & Farms is celebrating the spectacular fall season with exciting activities geared toward all ages.

Rhode Island’s premier fall attraction is ready for the leaves to turn and family excitement to follow. Confreda Fall Fest begins Sept. 13.

Jonathan Confreda is excited, as the family gears up for another fall season.

“Everyone knows us for our fall activities, and every year has exciting new things to offer local families,” he said. “We can’t wait to show off our Fall Fest games, events, and corn maze this year.”

The MAiZE stands 10 feet high and stretches out to the size of seven football fields. Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends through Nov. 2, it makes Confreda a great family destination on the weekend. The MAiZE also has plenty of fun, educational activities that are great for school tours during the week.

This year, Confreda has even more to offer. Ready to experience the Gold Rush, Confreda-style? The Confreda Mining Company will be open and ready for exploration. This hands-on attraction allows children to relive days past and use old time mining techniques to discover such treasures as arrowheads, crystals and other exciting rocks and minerals.

Children’s Halloween favorite Spookley the Square Pumpkin is also coming to Confreda. As the exclusive home to Spookley in Rhode Island, Confreda is happy to be the only place to find Spookley merchandise, Spookley story time, and a giant inflatable Spookley for the kids to meet.

On The MAiZE at Night, Confreda will be offering two Flashlight Nights on Oct. 9 and Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a spooky tour through the MAiZE and scary ghost stories by the fire with s’mores in hand. Call 827-5000 to reserve your spot for Flashlight Night at the MAiZE.

Other favorites such as Scary Acres is also back again Sept. 19 for haunted hayrides every weekend through Oct. 26. Feel a creepy sensation running down your back? That’s your warning that the creatures are back. After a year of staying underground, they’re thirsty for blood, and they’re ready for opening night.

Sept. 27 will be the Confreda Corn Festival, and Oct. 11 will be the Confreda Pumpkin Festival.

Confreda Greenhouses & Farms is located at 2150 Scituate Ave. in Hope. For more information, visit www.confredasfallfest.com.
