The executive board and leadership of the Johnston Association of Fire Fighters Local 1950 has unanimously backed state Rep. Deborah A. Fellela (D-43) in her bid for a new term.
“We would like to thank Deborah for her history of firefighter and labor-friendly support as state representative,” Local 1950 said in a statement. “We appreciate that Deborah shares our concern for the health, safety and welfare of the town of Johnston firefighters, as well as her understanding of issues that affect our members.”
Fellela is facing a primary challenge from Edward A. Doyle. Independents Karin N. Gorman and Daniel Hawkins are also seeking the seat.
