Harry Blair, 81, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family August 31, 2011 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley J. (Reynolds) Blair.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Harry and Edna (Tarbox) Blair. Mr. Blair was a jewelry worker for various companies in the Providence area for over 35 years before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, David J. Blair of Cranston, Stephen H. Blair of Coventry, Brian M. Blair of Cranston, Keith A. Blair of Calhoun, Ga., Nalda E. Blair of Michigan, Vicki J. Tedder of Warwick, Sonia R. Cooper of Cranston, Kimberly M. Burkett of Greenville, Mich., Dana P. Adams of Johnston and the late Barry N. Blair. Harry was the grandfather of 15 grandsons, eight granddaughters, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Leonard and Richard LeBlanc, Frances Sheldon and Lawrence Blair.
A gathering of friends and family in celebration of Harry's life was held Sept. 4 in the home of his son David Blair, Gordon St., Cranston. Interment was private.
