Henry Parrillo, 96 of Cranston and formerly of Johnston, passed away May 30, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 72 years to Veronica (Policelli) Parrillo.
Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Sabatino and Julia (Ferrante) Parrillo. Henry was a foreman for Marshall and Williams for 48 years before retiring. He later worked on his brother’s farm. He also enjoyed carpentry.
He was the father of Carolyn Pezza and her husband, Benjamin, Diana DiRaimo, LuAnn Ferris and Brenda Diko and her husband, James; grandfather of Karen Eunis, Susan Thibodeau, John Bizzacco, Kristen DiRaimo, Ashley Ferris and Madison Diko; great-grandfather of David, John, Taylor and Ashley. He was also the brother of Elvera Pelligrino and the late Thomas, Antonio, Louis, Antoinette and Jenny Parrillo and Celia Frenzi.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m.
