John A. Cardente, 88, of Johnston, passed away May 9, 2015. He was the husband of Carmen (Polaina) Cardente.
He was born in Providence, a son of the late Mario and Consiglia Cardente. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, a member of the Legion of Mary for over 25 years and a member of the St. Rocco’s Holy Name Society.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Rosemary Nixon and her husband, Kim of Warwick, a son Larry Cardente of Johnston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral was held Wednesday May 13th from the Winfield & Son’s Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Rd., Scituate with a mass of Christian burial at St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with Military Honors was in St. Ann Cemetery.
