John W. Johnson, 61, of Johnston, died November 17, 2013 at the home of his brother.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charlotte (Walker) Smith and the late Walter W. Johnson. John was a retired superintendent for the City of Providence. Recently, he had worked part time for the Rhode Island Auto Warehouse in North Attleboro.

John is survived by three children: Jessica Goyette and her husband, Ken of Lowell, Massachusetts, Courtney Carrera and her husband, Matthew of Johnston, and John Johnson and his fiancée, Danielle LeClair of North Providence: two grandchildren, Braelon and Colton Carrera; his brother, Peter Johnson and his wife, Gloria of Coventry; his fiancée, Soraya Santana; as well as many nephews and a niece.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday 9-10 a.m.
