Twenty-five female police officers, including Sgt. Megan Boulet of the Johnston Police Department, were honored at the State House on Thursday afternoon during the second annual International Women’s Day Celebration. Hosted by Sen. Donna Nesselbush and Rep. Elaine Coderre, the officers were recognized, along with Assistant Attorney General Stacey Veroni and former Secretary of State Arlene Violet, for being the highest-ranking or longest-serving female officers in their departments. “We gather here to honor 25 true pioneers who shattered a particular glass ceiling,” said Nesselbush. “We are so proud of you.”
