Jorge Cardona, 76, passed away September 6, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Libia (Betancur) Cardona. They has been married for over 50 years.
Born in Manizalis, Columbia, he was the son of the late Condrado and Isabel (Gonzales) Cardona. He worked for vatious machine shops. Jorge will always be remembered as a avid fisherman.
Besides his wife, Jorge is survived by three sons: Juan Cardona of Johnston, George Cardona, Jr. of Providence and Diego Cardona of Pawtucket and one daughter, Liliana Velez of Pawtucket. He is also surviived by six grandchildren; and one great-grandson and his siblings: Orphelia Palacio, Blanca Bron, Corando Cardona and Lucia Cardona, of Columbia.
His funeral was held held from the Keefe Funeral Home, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Baptist Church. Burial was private.
