VANDALS

Patrolman David Loffler reports he went to the Tri Town Health Center on Hartford Avenue on Dec. 5 to take a vandalism report from a woman with a damaged vehicle. He said a check on the woman’s record revealed an outstanding warrant for vandalism in Johnston. Nicki L. Tallo, 22, of 5 Shari Drive in Johnston, was arrested and taken to headquarters. Loffler reports that Tallo was already on probation for a felony possession charge, and he called the Attorney General’s office to advise them. He reports that an assistant attorney general told him to have her arraigned before a justice of the peace. Tallo was later released on $2,000 surety bail and ordered to have no contact with the woman who filed the vandalism complaint against her.

FORGERY

Detective Anthony Sasso reports that Jose A. Rodriguez, 31, of 20 June St. in Providence was charged with forgery on Dec. 1, but it was not necessary to go find him. He was already at the ACI on another matter. He was scheduled for arraignment in District Court. No other details were reported.

HIT AND RUN

Patrolman John DeAngelis reports that a Cranston man turned himself in on Dec. 3 and allegedly admitted he hit a mirror on a school bus at Ferri Middle School, but denied hitting a second vehicle he was also charged with hitting. The man reportedly told DeAngelis he was leaving the school after dropping off his daughter and was attempting to leave the parking lot by going against the one-way traffic entering the lot. He reportedly told DeAngelis that he felt the mirror contact, but never hit any other vehicles. Nevertheless, Joseph W. Danti, 24, of 88 Harris Ave., was charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident and one count of reckless driving, and was held for arraignment.

WARRANTED

Patrolman Adam Parkinson reports going to an address on Cherry Hill Road to disperse a woman who was not wanted there. The complainant reportedly told Parkinson the woman had “overstayed her welcome.” Parkinson said a routine check on the subject of the complaint revealed she had an outstanding arrest warrant for assault in Providence. He said Providence confirmed the warrant, and Tara Spendolini, 29, was taken to headquarters, processed and then held pending the arrival of Providence officers.

ALSO WARRANTED

Patrolman Derek Parascandolo reports that he and another patrolman went to the Bel-Air Motel at 2154 Hartford Ave. on Dec. 6 in an attempt to locate a man staying there who had an outstanding Superior Court warrant for failure to report a change of address as a sex offender in Woonsocket and failure to notify Superior Court of a change of address. He said the man who answered the knock said he was Rene Martel, and was living there. He was taken into custody without incident, processed and then held for Woonsocket Police.

SUSPENDED

Patrolman Matthew Leveillee reports he stopped a car for an expired inspection sticker on Plainfield Street on Dec. 5 and learned the driver had a suspended license. He turned the car over to the passenger, a licensed driver, and arrested Maynor Sanchez, 23, of 1623 Main St. in West Warwick, who was taken to headquarters, processed and later released with a summons.
