Spend an afternoon with Beethoven June 7

The Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra, formerly the Rhode Island Philharmonic Community Orchestra, will present a concert, “Season Finale: An Afternoon with Beethoven and Friends,” will be held on Sunday, June 7 at 3 p.m. The concert will be held in the Smith Center for the Arts at Providence College, 1 Cunningham Square in Providence.

The program will include “Overture to Beatrice and Benedict” by Hector Berlioz, “Flute Concert in D Major K. 314” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and “Symphony No. 5, Op. 67” by Ludwig Van Beethoven. Mozart’s piece will feature Rhode Island flutist John Curran. The Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra us under the baton of newly appointed music director Benjamin Vickers.

Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Help support the Rhode Island Food Bank by bringing a non-perishable food item to the concert. The Smith Center is handicapped-accessible.
