Precision Towing &

Auto Body of Johnston

receives award

Precision Towing & Auto Body of Johnston captured the third-place award for working truck in the national Shine ‘n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest, hosted by Tow Times magazine and powered by Ford Trucks.

The winning truck is a 1989 Peterbilt with a Dangelo’s 30-ton custom-built towing unit. It sports a custom design with a 9-11 theme that includes the image of firefighters holding a flag at New York’s Ground Zero.

It also features a lighted chrome bumper, three strobe bars, LED lighting, aluminum wheels and tanks, among other features. The working truck was chosen out of over 500 entries submitted in five categories this year from around the country and Canada.

Winning the Shine ‘n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest is a nod of recognition for Precision Towing, established in 2003. Like many tow truck operators, owner Richard Branch loves his trucks. The annual Shine ‘n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest taps into towing operators’ pride in their fleet, allowing them an opportunity to show off the beauty and brawn of their equipment.

In existence since 1991, the Shine ‘n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest offers 16 cash prizes. In addition, a photo of Precision Towing’s winning truck is published in the November issue of Tow Times.
