Annual Bazaar

 

Aime J. Forand Manor, located at 8 Forand Circle in Johnston, will host its Annual Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held in the Community Hall. There will be crafts, games, a white elephant table, food, bake sale, raffles, Christmas items and more.

St. Michael’s Church Christmas Bazaar

St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, will hold a Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Nov. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Parish Hall. Come and enjoy great food during the bazaar. Breakfast will be served on Sunday, Nov. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Items to purchase include beautiful handmade scarfs, baby items, hats, fleece blankets and many more crochet and knitted items. Craft items include Christmas ornaments, wreaths and centerpieces, gift baskets and a treasure of resale items at the White Elephant table.

Take a chance at the penny social raffle, the grand raffle and the turkey raffles. Delicious homemade items at the Country Store will add to your Sunday dinner. Their used book sale will have many treasures for all ages. They will also have unique and exclusive items on the silent auction table. Stop by and put in a bid on a silent auction item. Santa will be there on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and pictures with Santa are free.

Tomorrow Fund Ball

Annual Fantasy Ball

The Tomorrow Fund will celebrate “An Evening at the Opera” at the 27th annual Fantasy Ball on Nov. 8 at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet. All proceeds will benefit The Tomorrow Fund, the only local non-profit organization that provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families for the past 30 years.

The ball will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner and dancing to the music of “GQ and the Lady” will follow. Highlighting the evening will be silent and live auctions featuring trips and getaways, golf at private courses, artwork, fine wine and more. Approximately 700 guests are expected to attend.

Tickets for the gala are on sale now for $175 per person. Corporate tables are also available. For more information, please call The Tomorrow Fund at 444-8811.

Annual Winter Bazaar

Trinity Assembly of God, located at 2119 Hartford Ave., will hold its annual Winter Bazaar on Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Start your Christmas shopping early. There will be many vendors and a silent auction, as well as some baked goods to go or to enjoy at the bazaar. Come out and rummage through the Granny’s Attic (yard sale section) as well. Speed Networking

Bring business cards! Bring flyers! Join the North Central Chamber of Commerce for some Speed Networking, where you will have the ability to talk one-on-one with approximately 20 business professionals. This is a very relaxed atmosphere for new networkers and very productive for those looking to make quality business connections.

The event will take place on Nov. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McCoy Stadium, located at 1 Columbus Ave. in Pawtucket. Light fare provided. Cost is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members. For more information, contact Kelly Patz at 349-4774.

Venders needed

St. Brigid’s Church, 1231 Plainfield St. in Johnston will be holding their Annual Bazaar on Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. and on Nov. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Several openings for vendors are available. A full table of eight feet is $50, and a half table of four feet is $35. Price includes both days. For more information, please call Fran at 474-6128.

Taste of North Central!

Join the North Central Chamber of Commerce for a fun-filled evening on Nov. 6 as they hop on shuttles and spend an evening sampling some of the delicious food from restaurants in our area!

Confirmed stops include Bar 101, Enchanting Cake and the Revolutionary Pizza Company, with more to come.

Advance tickets are $20 per person, and senior citizen tickets are just $15. Tickets at pick-up locations on the day of the event are $25, and will be available in limited quantity. More information to come. For more details, contact Kelly Patz at 349-4774.
