In the enchanting children's storybook Angelina Ballerina, we meet the loveable character, Angelina, who ~ though nothing more than a mouse ~ is crazy about one thing, DANCING! In fact, she is so crazy about dancing that she dances "at home, at school and even in her dreams." Dancing has that effect on some people, no matter their age ~ it becomes a passion that transcends every other part of their lives. If you have an "Angelina Ballerina" in YOUR household, then there is a very special place to bring your own ballerina-hopeful ~ to the studio of To The Pointe of Performing Arts.

To The Pointe of Performing Arts is the love of life-long dancer Sheri Masiello. Masiello opened her first studio on Oaklawn Avenue, with two more studios to follow. To The Pointe of Performing Arts is a welcoming, bustling and joyful place to be for dancers from ages 18 months through adulthood. Whether you are five or fifty, in pointe or tap shoes, tutus or leotards, you too can find a place to dance in your dreams here.

While it may not seem so, summer is not far away and many parents are already making plans to avoid the all-to-frequent claims of "we are SO bored!" Sheri, who is not only the owner of To The Pointe of Performing Arts studios but is also a mother, knows that the best way to fill those long summer days is to keep your children busy . . . and dancing! The summer camps available through To The Pointe are the perfect way to give would-be ballerinas and non-dancers alike a chance to spin, leap, swirl and plié all day.

Camp programs are offered in all three studios for children ages three years and older. Divided by age, campers are taught dance techniques by To The Pointe instructors, make arts & crafts that relate to that week's special theme (including "Frozen", "Selena Gomez" & "teen beach movie" weeks), eat healthy snacks and perform a mini-recital to celebrate at week's end. For older, more serious dancers, there is a three-day intensive "So you think you can dance" session. Classes are held in air conditioned rooms, programs are even available for full or half day options and discounted rates are available for siblings.

If a week of camp seems a bit more than time or budget allow, dance classes are also held here all summer. Thinking about trying tap or jazz or lyrical or hip hop or contemporary? There is something for every dancer here.

To The Pointe of Performing Arts studios are located on 999 Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston, on 1525 Smith Street in North Providence, and on 2435 Nooseneck Hill Rd. in Coventry. Visit their informative website at www.tothepointeofperformingarts.com for class schedules, contact information and details about registering for your summer camp.
