Drying out

Posted

After nearly a week of bailing water out at a rate of about 5 million gallons a day, Belfield Drive is no longer flooded and is passable to traffic. Pumping at the scene stopped last Friday once the road was cleared. Crews removed the pump from the scene, along with more than 2,500 feet of piping that was used. Although the nearby woods remain flooded, this past week has seen far less rain and water levels there continue to drop.
