Members of the Nicholas A. Ferri Middle School Select Chorus will soon bolster the future for Johnston High School’s Music Department.

Directed by Tom Conlon, the Ferri Select Chorus recently earned a score of “Excellent” during the Rhode Island Middle School Choral Festival held at Martin Middle School in East Providence.

The Choral Festival included many middle school choruses throughout the state, and the Johnston group turned in a glowing performance en route to its “Excellent” rating, which came from a panel of judges.

After their performance, the Ferri students attended a clinic during which they learned some helpful techniques to further improve their many skills and future performances.

Thus, Conlon announced that the Select Chorus will perform again at the Ferri Middle School Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 28. The concert will be held at the Johnston High School auditorium.
