Festival fun for all ages

Luke and AJ Judge bite into their doughboys, the top seller every year at the Feast.

Edward Almonte was a good sport at the Feast, taking his 2-year-old daughter Alaina on the airplane ride multiple times. When he tried to get off, she clung to the wheel, begging for another turn.

Enjoying doughboys of their own while selling pastries are Mike and Karen Lopes (standing) and Claire Barattini and Maria La Manna. La Manna graced the front page of the Sun Rise last year during the St. Rocco Feast and Festival procession.

After months of anticipation and nearly a year of planning, the St. Rocco Feast and Festival took over the field behind the church starting last Thursday and wrapping up Sunday evening. Families enjoyed plates heaping full of macaroni and meatballs, Italian gelato and, of course, doughboys, all the while listening to live entertainment, playing games of chance and enjoying the carnival games and rides.
