Johnston Schools plan Blended Learning showcase

Posted

In collaboration with community partners, Johnston Public Schools will host its third annual Technology Showcase as part of its blended learning initiative. The event will take place on June 1 from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the Ferri Middle School library.

The event will support student successes by showcasing students and teachers work through technology and increasing family and community engagement. Participants will walk through an amazing showcase of technology tools and platforms as they are used in the schools’ Lighthouse Classrooms.

Amongst the featured technology will be Google Classroom, using Chromecasts, creating and using playlists, collaboration and analysis of literary pieces using technology, Class DoJo, Coding/Scratch/AutoCad, and music video production.

Along with the events "tasty treats and technology takeaways," there will be an opportunity to win "tech-spacular" door prizes for teachers and students. For additional information, contact Deb Ramm at 401-965-1334.
