DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Feb. 25, Johnston Detective Thomas M. Dwyer responded to a report of a disorderly man at Next Level Fitness, located at 12 Industrial Lane.

Upon arrival, the reporting party is said to have told Dwyer that a man later identified as Vladimir Vlaovic, 36, of 49 Circuit Drive, East Providence, was intimidating gym members and deliberately bumped into another member.

The reporting party said Vlaovic was told that if he continued to harass and intimidate patrons, he would be asked to leave. Vlaovic is said to have left, but the reporting party told police he subsequently saw Vlaovic pacing outside and making an “X” symbol with his arms.

Citing alleged prior incidents, the reporting party told police he feared Vlaovic would return and was capable of “violent acts.”

After fruitless attempts to reach Vlaovic, a warrant was issued for his arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct. Later, Dwyer responded to 49 Circuit Drive, where he met with members of the East Providence Police Department. Vlaovic was taken into custody without incident. He was also issued a no-trespass order.

BENCH WARRANT

On March 1, Johnston Patrolman Richard J. Varan conducted a traffic stop on Hartford Avenue after seeing a car that had a Massachusetts inspection sticker but Rhode Island registration plates.

A check revealed the driver – identified as Judex Maldonado, 29, 299 Admiral St., Providence – had a suspended registration and did not have a license on file. Maldonado also had an active bench warrant from the Sixth Division District Court for failure to appear for pretrial.

Maldonado was taken into custody on the warrant, as well as a charge of operating with a suspended license, third or subsequence offense. He was also issued violations for operation of a vehicle while the registration is suspended and not having an inspection sticker.

Maldonado was arraigned in Third Division District Court and released on $1,000 personal recognizance until March 18.
