A mid-winter sun spills through the windows of K Jane & Co., casting a sunny glow across this sparkling new salon in Johnston. The sunrays reflect off every surface, from the freshly painted walls to the mirrors that frame each styling station of this modern hair salon.
K Jane & Co. is the pride of its owner, stylist Katelyn Reynolds. Katelyn, with the help of her devoted mother Debra, have transformed an old nail salon into this beautiful, sleek and sophisticated space. The salon, which carries the name “Jane” (the middle name of both Katelyn’s mother and her sister) is lovingly dedicated to Katelyn’s late grandparents, Roland and Anita Pendergast.
Katelyn launched into her career after graduating from Toni & Guy Beauty School over five years ago by working at a salon in East Providence. When she spotted the vacant space in this conveniently located plaza near the intersection of Atwood and Hartford Avenues, she leaped at the chance to go out on her own. Katelyn and her mom went straight to work, making this salon perfectly fit for today’s savvy and selective client. After months of polishing, painting and pampering, K Jane & Co. is now officially open for business!
K Jane offers a wide selection of services including haircutting, styling, facial waxing and soon, eyelash extensions. Katelyn’s real expertise, however, lies in color and hair extensions. After many years as a stylist, Katelyn can cut and style any hair type ~ she has already been busy doing these things since the salon first opened its doors on December 1st. Her passion and specialty work lie in creating masterpieces of hair color, from complete coverage to subtle highlights. She follows the latest trends in color and can elevate your look from drab and predictable to sassy and head-turning. There isn’t a look that she can’t recreate, whether it is balyage hair painting, color correcting, “peek-a-boo” and so much more.
Katelyn’s work with extensions is also meticulous and seamless. She takes a boring head of hair and makes that hair long and luxurious. No one would ever guess it’s not your own hair!
Hair is Katelyn’s “blank canvas” ~ she makes her clients look and feel beautiful ~ from start to finish.
