Meet Linda Nadeau. Even if you are only an occasional reader of Johnston’s hometown paper, the Johnston SunRise, then you have already seen the meticulous work of this talented former graphic designer at this hometown newspaper.

While in this capacity, Linda was responsible for designing the display ads for many of the businesses that advertise in the SunRise. Often taking scribbled notes from the paper’s dedicated sales staff, Linda could take the ideas of these advertisers and turn them into visual ads that would draw the eye of prospective customers. Linda, a former small business owner herself, knows that such an eye-catching ad can make all the difference when getting the word out about a fledgling or even a well-established business. If there is anything Linda knows about, it is how to promote a product or a service.

Linda’s years as the Creative Director and designer for Beacon Communications have prepared her for the next stage of her career as she takes on a new job title with the SunRise. She has now moved from the “back of the house” and out into the community as the SunRise’s newest sales representative. Linda has now assumed partnerships with former, current and potential business owners from throughout the city who want to advertise in the paper. She will work closely with these owners and determine how they can best invest and maximize their advertising dollars.
