Loretta (Danella) Funaro, 87, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the devoted wife of Anthony L. Funaro for 63 years.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Florence (Cardillo) Danella. Loretta was one of the very best mothers a person could have in this world. Her legacy will be one of faith, kindness, mercy, and charity; qualities she instilled in the most important people in her life, her children and grandchildren. Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family, taking day trips to the nearby Casinos, watching television, and the companionship of her dog “Mr. Rocky”.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony L. Funaro Jr. and a daughter, Marianne Saccoccio and her husband David, all of Johnston. Loretta was the grandmother of Joseph A. Lombardi and his wife Ashley, Alisha “Lync” Lombardi and Valerie “Dolly” Lombardi. Loretta was the sister Joan Ursillo, Esther Greco, Paula Boutin, Marie Calabro, all of Johnston, and the late Joseph Danella.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday morning, April 23, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. Interment at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
