National GRACE Foundation RIde Run Against Cancer

Posted by TeamKSA

Since 2011, National GRACE Foundation has helped more than 1,000 families, mainly fundraising through their annual cycling event in the fall.

This year, National GRACE is adding a Run Against Cancer to their annual fundraising event. It is a new 5k that will be taking place in addition to the 6th annual charity bike, RIde Against Cancer. This run is meant to be inclusive of all who wish to participate in helping GRACE achieve their mission of Growing, Recovering, and Achieving a College Education, whether or not they like to cycle.

The RIde/Run will take place in beautiful Southern Rhode Island and begin and end at the Bistro at Theater by the Sea in Wakefield. We have four RIde options, a 5 mile, a 15 mile, a 38 mile, and a 60 mile route. The run winds through a 5 km section of the bike route in scenic Matunuck and Cards Pond. Following the conclusion of the Ride/Run, there will be a celebration back at Bistro at Theater by the Sea with lunch. All runners will also receive a free t-shirt!

This is an opportunity to come together with friends and family to celebrate overcoming the battle with cancer and recognizing that after the fight, life continues.

As a way to give back, The National GRACE Foundation College Awareness Program was established to provide the assistance to pediatric cancer patients, survivor and families looking to navigate the college admissions and financial aid process and is free.

All funds raised by this day of family fun go to support the world class treatment center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and to the Isabel Helen Farnum Scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to pediatric cancer survivors.

This is your opportunity to grab your friends and family and participate in support of kids with cancer in our community. Please come join us!
