Nativity lighting at State House set for Dec. 19

The 6th Annual Nativity Lighting at the Rhode Island State House (in the Rotunda area) will take place Wednesday, December 19 from 3 to 4 p.m. The Joy to the World Nativity Committee will light the Nativity Scene, celebrating the coming birth of Christ. There will be Christmas carols and cookies donated by Buono's Bakery. This event is sponsored by The Thomas More Society and media sponsors Relevant Radio and Rhode Island Catholic.

Father John A. Kiley, Interfaith Officer for the Diocese of Providence, will offer a prayer of blessing for the Nativity scene and those in attendance. As always, this event is free and open to the public.
