Second suspect arrested in alleged child molestation

The Johnston Police Department has made a subsequent arrest in a reported child molestation that occurred on November 11, 2018.

According to a JPD press release, on November 26, 2018, Detectives from the Johnston Police Department arrested Anthony Paul Cerbo 40 years of age, and charged him with first degree child molestation, a felony under Rhode Island General Law. Through the course of their original investigation, using investigative techniques and working with the victim they were able to identify a second suspect.

After securing a court authorized arrest warrant, Johnston Police Detectives responded to 756 Quaker Lane, Apt. 2 in Warwick and arrested Matthew C. Heuser. Heuser, 37m is being charged with second degree child molestation and conspiracy to commit first degree child molestation, all felony charges under Rhode Island General Law.

Heuser was arraigned at Kent Conty Courthouse and given a PAC date of Febuary 28, 2018.
