The stop sign at Merrill Drive and Memorial Drive near the Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library was overturned after being struck and damaged last Saturday night. At 11:45 p.m. Johnston Police Officer Derrick Palazzo investigated the incident to the sign that was anchored to a concrete base and is listed as town property. He estimated the damage at $300. Palazzo’s report reads, “Checks of the area for suspect[s] who may have been responsible for the damage were negative.” (Sun Rise photos by Pete Fontaine)
