Turbine dedicated in Rambone's memory

On Sunday, May 19, family, friends and community members gathered to dedicate one of Green Development’s Johnston wind turbines to the late Cheryl A. Rambone.

Sunday was Cheryl’s birthday, and she would have been 75. She passed away in 2017. The turbine is located on Rambone property at 2153 Plainfield Pike.

Cheryl’s husband, John Rambone, spoke at the ceremony, as did her granddaughter Jenna Rambone.

“She fought through every obstacle that obstructed her path, however she never let that stop her from living her life the way she desired to,” Jenna said. “It never hindered her smile or stopped her from seeing the better and more important aspects of life.”

Cheryl and John were married for 54 years.

Other speakers included Holy Apostles Monsignor Theroux, Chris DiFazio (niece), JoAnn Fede (longtime family friend), Wayne Salisbury (neighbor and friend) and Green Development founder and CEO Mark DePasquale.

“It was an honor to attend and speak at this dedication and share this very special moment with the entire Rambone family. The turbine will now serve as a lasting dedication to Cheryl, the life she lived and the children and grandchildren she raised,” DePasquale said.

The turbine was blessed and dedicated with the breaking of a champagne bottle followed by a barbecue luncheon on site.
