The R.I. FBU(Football University) 7th-grade all-star team won the northeast regional tournament in Newport this past weekend. Several players from Johnston were selected on this team and will be traveling to Florida Dec. 16-21 to compete for the national championship. R.I. has advanced to the Elite 8 out of a field of 64 teams from all over the country. All eight teams will compete in Naples, Florida, for a national title.
