Swinging Squares

Trip to Atlantic City/Radio City Xmas Show

A trip to Atlantic City & Radio City Xmas Show on Dec. 3 is being sponsored by the Social Supportive Ministry of St. Brigid Church, 1231 Plainfield St. The price of $239, double occupancy PP, includes transportation, a two-night stay at Ballys, Atlantic City, $20 Slot Bonus, two $5 food coupons, and the Radio City Rockettes. Lend A Hand Therapeutic Riding Foundation located in Western Cranston, is seeking volunteers to assist with therapy riding sessions for physically and mentally challenged children. CODAC TREATMENT CENTERS has recently contracted with the Division of Substance Abuse/MHRH to provide treatment services for problem gamblers. The grant will support counseling services for uninsured Rhode Islanders who are experiencing problems in their lives because of compulsive gambling. In-Sight is seeking volunteers for their Friendly Visitor program. This would take an hour a week and might include reading mail, driving a person to the store or engaging in conversation. MISCARRIAGE, INFANT DEATH AND STILLBIRTH SUPPORT GROUP (M.I.S.) is a

support group for parents who have experienced the death of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death due to prematurity, SIDS or other medical problems. The group meets the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald House, 45 Gay Street, Providence. Pre-registration is not required.
