PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws 45-24-53 that a Public Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 3275 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island on November 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the proposed ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Official Zoning Map as summarized below:

Assessor’s Lot: 357
Location: 1161 Main Avenue
Present Classification: Office
Zone Change Requested: General Business
Purpose for Change: The current office zoning limits the use of the property causing severe vacancies. The broader uses allowed in general business will allow the site to be better utilized thus serving the surrounding area. The drainage will not adversely effect surrounding values.
A complete copy of the proposed petition may be examined and copied, at cost, in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Warwick, Rhode Island any Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. The proposed ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any alteration or amendment will be presented for comment in the course of the hearing.
All persons interested in the above are respectfully requested to be present at that time and place to be heard thereon. Individuals requesting interpreter service for the hearing impaired must notify the office of the City Clerk at 739-9150 T.D.D. or 738-2000, 72 hours in advance of the hearing date.
