Get ready to be swept away into a world of enchantment as BalletRI proudly announces its upcoming world premiere production, Cinderella. The glittering rags-to-riches story will be choreographed by the acclaimed Yury Yanowsky. It is a timeless tale for the whole family to enjoy, brought to life with fresh and compelling flair.
“I am delighted to close our season with the unveiling of a World Premiere production of this treasured familyfriendly ballet,” said Kathleen Breen Combes, Ballet RI’s director. As we continue to reimagine ballet with creativity and creation at our core, this new production will feature fresh and innovative choreography, brilliant sets, and costumes, all against a backdrop of Prokofiev’s timeless and whimsical score.”
Prepare for an evening filled with sparkling elegance, uproarious comedy, and captivating magic, set to Sergei Prokofiev’s timeless score. With a wave of the Fairy Godmother’s wand, audiences will be transported to the enchanting ball, where Cinderella’s magical transformation takes center stage.
The performance marks Ballet RI’s first fully staged non-holiday production at The Vets since 2020, a milestone we hope audiences will celebrate as we bring a season filled with artistic innovation and excellence to a close. Performances will occur on Friday, May 10th, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 11th, at 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 12th, at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased as single tickets or as part of a subscription package.
