The Johnston Little League All-Star teams wrapped up their summers this past week as they fell in their respective district brackets.
The JLL 12’s fell to North Providence 12-0 on Tuesday night to see its season some to a close.
“I’m very proud of the kids. They worked their tails off these last three weeks of summer practicing every day, three hours a day. It’s an honor to have been the manager this year. I know these kids are going to make it far in life and I’m really happy that I had an influence in that. It has been a pleasure to coach these kids,” said 12’s manager Mike Orsini.
The JLL 10’s most recently fell on the road to Cranston Western in a 16-1 decision to see its summer run come to a close. Lucas Heywood scored the team’s lone run in the loss while he also picked up a strikeout on the mound. Luca Orsini also recorded a strikeout in relief.
