Warwick grapplers stay busy on road

The Bishop Hendricken, Toll Gate and Pilgrim wrestling teams were on the road when they competed in out of state tournaments last weekend.
Highlighting the action were the Hawks, who took first place at the Capital City Classic Championships in Concord, Mass. which featured teams from throughout New England. The team was led by Matthew Pappas, who took first place at 165 pounds.
Braydon Wilding, Lincoln Tiernan, Mikhail Hulkow and Seth McGrew all placed second in their divisions for Hendricken, while Michael Owens took fourth, and Gianni Santos and Michael Quinn fifth.
Pilgrim also made the trip and was led by Jacob Olivera, who took third at 126 pounds. Desanni Dias finished in sixth place at 113 pounds.
Toll Gate competed in the Bill James Invitational in Methuen, Mass. and multiple Titans placed on the day.
Kason Wirtz finished by taking third place at 144 pounds while Jack Sabatelli finished in fourth at 106. Jared Sabatelli and Marcos Ramirez each took home fifth place finishes.
