My name is Richard Corrente and I am running for Mayor in Warwick as a Democrat. I invite you to read my platform at "correntemayorwarwick.com". You will note that I plan on offering a $2,000 tax rebate check to anyone who opens a brick-and-mortar business in Warwick. We have lost 4,666 businesses and 5,800 taxpayers in the last 10 years alone. I have a plan to bring them (and their tax-dollars) back resulting in less taxes for all of us. I also have a plan to stimulate construction for new homes and additions to existing ones. I will eliminate building fees for a two year moratorium. The result will lose permit fee money once and gain additional real estate tax money year-after-year. The effect will allow us to cut taxes for all Warwick taxpayers.
