John Stark hit the nail on the head. Rhode Islanders have forgotten how Independent RI's birth was. This has a lot to do with our education system, public and private.
This was not RI's first attack on British ships, RIers had fired on the HMS St. John in 1764 and burned the HMS Liberty 1768. All this of course over TAXES.
