How does clear cutting forests benefit our environment? We are sacrificing our forests, our ecosystem, in the name of "clean energy", all while people are screaming concerns about the Amazon Rainforest, the "lungs of the world" burning. Meanwhile we are destroying our own environment, right here at home to the detriment of people, animal life and our oceans. The forests have a very important job to do besides providing shelter to many creatures, it acts as a filter for our water and air, water we all use air we all breathe! The pollution created will be running off into our Bay and ocean. The energy we are producing is not even to the benefit of our own very expensive energy bills, but being sold overseas. This issue is a larger discussion that really needs more community involvement.
