The Johnston Planning Board regular monthly meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at the Johnston Senior Center located at 1291 Hartford Avenue.

New Business

A. 2017 – 2025 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Public Hearing

The Town of Johnston is preparing a submission to the RI Statewide Planning Program for consideration in the 2017-2025 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is a list of transportation projects the state intends to implement using USDOT funds. In order for transportation projects to utilize these federal dollars, it must be included in the TIP. There are several categories included in the TIP such as bicycle/pedestrian, bridge, enhancements, pavement management and traffic safety projects. The public hearing will be held for purposes of obtaining the views of citizens on this transportation improvement program submission.

B. Master Plan Major Subdivision and Land Development Plan Review – Stonemonte Estates Residential Subdivision – Winsor Avenue and Barden Lane PB’15-23

The Board will conduct a Master Plan Review for a four (4) lot residential major subdivision located within the R-40 Zoning District. The subject parcel is identified as A.P. 59/1 Lot 128; a 5.49 acre parcel at the corner of Winsor Avenue and Barden Lane owned by the applicant Peter Del Ponte. Subdivision Plans have been prepared by NES Associates.

Documents available for review 8am-3pm, Planning Office, 100 Irons Ave. Items not heard by 10:30 pm rescheduled for subsequent meeting. Facilities are handicap accessible. Interpreter services to be requested from TTD (401) 792-9642, 72 hours advance notice required.
