JPD sponsoring Thanksgiving food basket drive for Operation Stand Down

Chief Richard Tamburini, along with the men and women of the Johnston Police Department, are reaching out to the community this Thanksgiving holiday to help collect non-perishable food items for Operation Stand Down in Johnston.

All donated items collected will be delivered to Operation Stand Down for Thanksgiving food baskets. The department is now collecting non-perishable food items through November 20.

Some items that will help Operation Stand Down fill Thanksgiving baskets are instant potatoes, brown gravy (canned or dry), stuffing, bread mixes, biscuit mixes, cranberry sauce, desert mixes, pie crust mixes and fillings, and market gift cards for turkeys.

Please help the department help our veterans by bringing donations to the Johnston Police Department headquarters and place it in the designated Operation Stand Down donation box. With your support, we can give back those men and women who served and gave so much of themselves.
